Memories is a reflection of a remarkable individual from childhood to present day. Vincent S. Dempsey was born in Jacquet River, New Brunswick, on July18, 1921, the second oldest of eight children. He proudly served Canada during World War Two, spending time in England, the Mediterranean, Sicily and elsewhere in Italy. Upon returning to Canada he married his sweetheart, Betty Troy. After the arrival of two daughters, Charlene and Gloria, he moved his family to Kingston, Ontario. Vince worked for twenty-one years at Rideau Marina as a small engine mechanic. During his thirty years of retirement, Vince has turned his talents to writing, woodcarving, and painting landscapes and portraits.
